Plan for the weight before collection
A granite blank is a substantial load. Its weight depends on the dimensions and the stone, so use the estimated weight on the product listing as a starting point and confirm the actual pieces before planning collection.
Who will prepare your supply-only blank?
Supply-only blanks come in the listed dimensions. Any cutting, cut-outs and installation are arranged by you. Before ordering, agree the specification with the person who will prepare and fit the worktop.
Plan cutting before you buy
Granite can be fabricated to fit a kitchen, but cutting changes the edge finish and requires appropriate equipment and dust controls. Our supply-only service is for the listed blanks; it does not include a cutting-to-length service.
Specify sink and hob cut-outs
The actual sink or hob specification determines the cut-out. Inset, undermount and flush-fit details are different, so agree the appliance model and finish with your fabricator before any stone is cut.
Decide where the joints belong
Joint positions depend on the layout, available slab or blank sizes, access and support. Discuss them with your fabricator at the planning stage; colour and pattern can make a joint more or less noticeable.
Prepare for your worktop installation
Your installer should confirm the preparation needed for your kitchen before fitting. Cabinets, appliances, access and any supporting structure all affect the worktop installation.
Cleaning and sealing black granite
Sealing requirements depend on the actual stone and any existing treatment. Ask for the care guidance for your worktop before applying a sealer, rather than sealing all black granite on a fixed schedule.
Choose supply only or a fitted worktop
Choose a supply-only blank when you already have suitable fabrication and installation arranged. Choose bespoke supply and fitting when you want the worktops measured, prepared and installed as one service.

Our supply-only range is sold as listed blanks. You arrange fabrication and fitting. Our bespoke service includes templating, cutting and installation across mainland UK.
