Who we are

Granite Worktops 2 Go Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 09862610. Registered office: 84 Lodge Road, Southampton SO14 6RG.

We are the data controller for the information described here. To ask us anything about it, email sales@graniteworktops2go.co.uk, call 07961 502122. Our registered office is in the company disclosure above; it is not a collection or viewing address.

What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry
Your name, phone number, and optionally your email address, postcode and whatever you tell us about the kitchen. We use it to reply to you and to prepare a quote.
When you call, message or WhatsApp us
Your phone number and the content of the conversation. WhatsApp messages are also processed by Meta under their own terms.
When you buy from us
Your name, contact details, delivery or fitting address and the record of the transaction, including the invoice.
When you visit this website
Standard server request data for running and protecting the website, plus aggregate statistics about page views and contact actions, including the button location and service selected, to improve the website. These statistics contain no visitor identifier, enquiry contents or stored IP address. You can turn them off in our cookie and statistics settings.

We may display public Google reviews on this website, including the reviewer’s display name, profile image, rating, words and photos attached to their review. Review images are served through our website. If you follow a link to the original review, Google’s own privacy terms apply. Contact us if you have a concern about a review shown here.

Our lawful bases

  • Steps prior to a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)): answering an enquiry, preparing a quote, and fulfilling an order.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): running the business, keeping records of enquiries, preventing fraud, and improving the website using aggregate usage statistics. You can object to website statistics using the settings linked above.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): keeping accounting and VAT records.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): non-essential cookies, and any marketing email you have opted into. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • Our email and website hosting providers, including Resend for enquiry notifications
  • Upstash, when configured, stores aggregate website statistics on our behalf
  • Cloudflare, when spam protection is enabled, checks form submissions for automated abuse
  • Meta, if you contact us via WhatsApp or Facebook, under their own terms
  • The fabrication and fitting team who carry out installation work, who receive only what they need to do the job
  • Our accountant, for transaction records

We will also disclose information where the law requires it. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by UK-approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become orders: up to two years, so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us.
  • Customer and transaction records: seven years, which is what tax law requires.
  • Website statistics: daily aggregate counters for up to 90 days. Temporary IP-based abuse controls are separate from analytics.
  • Statistics preference: an opt-out cookie for one year, containing only your choice, not an identifier.
  • WhatsApp and phone records: kept while they are useful to the job, then deleted.

Marketing

We do not run a marketing mailing list. If that ever changes, we will only email you if you have opted in, or if you have bought from us and we are telling you about something similar. Every message will have an unsubscribe link, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete it, where we do not need to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
  • ask for it in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent, where consent is what we relied on.

Email sales@graniteworktops2go.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. Tell us first if you can, and we will try to put it right.
