Worktop guide

What do I need for sink and hob cut-outs?

The actual sink or hob specification determines the cut-out. Inset, undermount and flush-fit details are different, so agree the appliance model and finish with your fabricator before any stone is cut.

What to consider

  1. 01

Choose the sink and hob models and keep their installation instructions.

  2. 02

Confirm the mounting style, tap positions and any other holes required.

  3. 03

Check the cabinet layout and clearances with the kitchen installer.

  4. 04

Tell the fabricator which edges will remain visible and need finishing.

  5. 05

For our bespoke service, include these details with your kitchen plan so they can be checked during templating.

For cutting or fabrication, use a suitably equipped stone professional. Read HSE guidance on silica dust.
